Bogey Hills is a Stunning Testament to What a Well Designed Course Should Look and Play Like!
Bogey Hills Golf Course was originally designed by C.H. Walters and Dennis Walters, Sr., over 40 years ago. During the ensuing decades, the course has been tweaked and honed under the watchful eye and stewardship of Walters management making subtle changes to enhance shot values, conditions and playability. Measuring 6,428 yards from the Championship Tees and playing to a par 71, the course is short by modern standards. Yet, what it lacks in raw distance, it more than makes up for in cunning and guile. This is a thinkers golf course ... a tight classic layout that demands tremendous strategy, yet gives an equal chance to the long or short hitter who opts for the right position from which to attack each hole.
Featuring five sets of tees, Bogey Hills is truly playable and enjoyable for players of any skill level from tour professionals to juniors.
Spectacular Conditioning All Season Long!
Beautiful fountains and clear water lakes loaded with bass make this course a magnificent sight to behold. If that doesn't take your breath away, the abundance of aromatic flowers and majestic trees everywhere will certainly give you a moment's pause. With zoysia fairways spread out before 007 Creeping Bentgrass greens that features no grain and low cutting height, so putting is true and quick. The greens are very rewarding of shots in the proper place but unforgiving to those who put their shot on the wrong level of the many 2-tiered greens.

The Challenge at Bogey Hills is as Much Mental as it is Physical
Although there is truly something to highlight on every hole at Bogey Hills, the 3rd, 9th,13th and 18th stand out and warrant special mention. Playing 585 yards from the back tees, the par 5, 3rd hole is not only the longest, but toughest hole on the entire course. This is a true three-shot hole that demands accuracy as well as length. Trees line the entire left of the fairway, while the boundary fence lurks to the right. Once in sight of the green, the front left is guarded by a lake, while the putting surface is protected by bunkers left and right. The 9th, another par 5 that plays 529 yards, and although short, it is among the tightest holes out there. With three lakes challenging both the tee shot and the green which slopes severely from front to back, your score is far from safe until you are at the bottom of the cup! The 13th represents both the best and most picturesque of our par 3s. Playing 203 yards from the back, the hole plays downhill to a green fronted by water. A small island in the water adds to the ambiance, but while the hole plays down hill, there is usually a prevailing breeze negating the height advantage. Your final opportunity of the day will be your chance to conquer the tough 18th hole. Although not lon
g at 369 yards from the tips, many a bet will be settled on this hole. A long iron or fairway wood will leave you short of the lake that guards the 18th green. A mid to short iron to a fast, undulating green will reward you with a birdie or par only if you can keep the ball below the hole on this slick green.
By the end of your round, you will be impressed with the beauty and excellent condition of the course. At the same time you will wonder where the shots ebbed away and will be eager to go back out again and find ways to play the course better. When you do, you will find that like a fine wine, each round at Bogey Hills provides a different experience.
